Extended Access Appointments:
The midwife at the clinic sees patients by appointment.
The baby clinics are run each Wednesday by the health visitor for child developmental checks and immunisations. They also allow an opportunity to discuss other problems, e.g. sleeping, feeding and child health worries, with a doctor or health visitor. Contact the surgery for times, though appointments are not generally necessary. The current schedule for children's immunisations that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them are to be found here:
If you have any doubts about any of the immunisations please speak to either your doctor or the practice nurse.
Please book these with a practice nurse.
Chronic Disease Management Clinics
We offer a range of clinics such as those for asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to monitor and support patients.
They are run by the practice nurse, with the support of the doctors. An appointment is necessary but these can be booked in advance. All patients with the above conditions should ensure that they book an annual review with the nurse.
The doctors carry out minor surgical procedures at the surgery by appointment and the doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
